My name is Helen Biggerstaff. I am a Family Mediator offering appointments in the Tunbridge Wells area. I am a member of the Family Mediators' Association and work to their Code of Practice.

If you and your partner have decided to separate or have already done so (even if that was a long time ago) and you need to sort out financial matters and/or arrangements for your children, then Mediation could help you.

On the following pages I will set out in more detail exactly what Family Mediation is and how it works.  You can then decide if you think it might work for you. That is one of the best things about Mediation - you and your former partner make the decisions about your future. As a Mediator, I am simply there to help you do that.

Before becoming a Family Mediator, I spent 8 years working as a solicitor specialising in Family Law. I have also worked as a childminder. I live near Tunbridge Wells with my husband and 4 young children.  I hope that my personal circumstances and career history will enable me to work with you in a practical yet understanding way, helping you through a difficult time to find solutions for your future.
